What kinds of products do you provide?

• Nurse Meets cake specializes primarily in custom cakes and cupcakes with buttercream frostings. Check out the Cake Pricing and Serving Guide for more details.

What kinds of products do you not provide?

• Nurse Meets Cake does not make fondant cakes or decorations, edible imaging, sugar paste or gumpaste decorations, or edible images.

• We do not make iced sugar cookies.

• We do not provide rental items (such as cake stands).

• We generally do not provide on-site setup.

• At this time, we do not make gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan, or sugar free items.

Are your cakes and cupcakes okay for people with allergies?

• Every effort can be made to reduce exposure to allergies such as nuts or soy; however, products are made in an environment that could possibly be exposed to these allergens.

How early should I order?

• It is never too early to order! Due to limited capacity, it is recommended you inquire about an order at least 4 weeks in advance. Please note: inquiry does not mean your order can be fulfilled. If Nurse Meets Cake cannot book your order, it simply means all available slots/dates are already taken – if this happens, please try again on the next order! 

What if I need to cancel?

• Although there is presently no cancellation charge, please notify as soon as possible if you must cancel.

• Payment in full is due upon the pickup/delivery date. Any money paid earlier than that is fully refundable up to 72 hours before the designated date. After the 72 hour window, it is considered non-refundable. For example: if your pickup is scheduled for a Wednesday evening and you cancel after Sunday evening, any money paid to Nurse Meets Cake is non-refundable at that point. This is because cake decoration may start 48-72 hours prior to the pickup date.

Do you deliver?

• Delivery is a flat fee within an 8-mile radius (see the Policies tab). If you are located outside this area, you must meet at or in the defined radius. This is because the baker’s full-time day job does not always leave much time for travel! More details can be found in the pricing guide and/or the inquiry form.

Do you offer discounts?

• Currently we do not offer any discounts.

Do you do smash cakes?

• Yes! 

What if my cake/cupcakes get damaged during transport?

• Nurse Meets Cake is not liable for any damages incurred once an order is picked up or received by the customer.

How do I get a quote?

• Complete all fields of the inquiry form (located here). This form covers all the little things!

Baked goods from Nurse Meets Cake are made in a cottage food operation that is not subject to state food safety inspections. Bakery products from Nurse Meets Cake may contain milk, eggs, wheat, soy, tree nuts, or peanuts.
